Final Event Post-Race Report - Lake Elsinore

Drivers and Teams,
First, thank you all for your continued support of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing series.  We all appreciate you and your teams.  Here is the post-race penalty report from Round 3 and Round 4 at Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact Greg Foutz or Ritchie Lewis.

Pro-Buggy

  1.  #3 received a Disqualification for failing post-race technical inspection -  Ride Height.

Pro-Lite

  1. #2 failed post qualifying technical inspection for ride height and was moved to the back of the field to start the race.
  2. #35 failed post qualifying technical inspection for ride height and was moved to the back of the field to start the race.
  3. #53 received a black flag for jumping the start.  Penalty was served
  4. #53 received a Disqualification for post checkered flag contact with #12.  Driver for #53 will be placed on Indefinite probation in addition to the immediate penalty.

Pro-2

  1. #7 received a Disqualification for post checkered flag contact with #38.  Driver for #7 will be placed on Indefinite probation in addition to the immediate penalty.

Spotter Conduct Issues

  1. Spotter for the #12 Pro Lite acted in an un-sportsman like way toward the spotter for the #6 pro lite for on track incidents.  Words were exchanged with the spotter for the #6 and was done in an un-sportsmanlike way.
  2. After the pro lite race the spotter for the #12 Pro Lite acted in an un-sportsman like way toward the spotter for the #53 Pro Lite after on track incidents during the race.  Later the same spotter acted in an un-sportsman like way toward the driver of the #53 after on track incidents.  Comments and text communications to the driver of the #53 from the spotter of the #12 were threatening and again done in an un-sportsman like way.
  3. During the Pro 2 race the same spotter who now was spotting for the #2 Pro-2 again exchanged words and had some physical contact with the spotter for the #7.  In addition some words were exchanged with another team member of the #7 which were done in an un-sportsman like way.  The spotter was remanded to the pit area for the #2 Pro 2 for the rest of the weekend and not permitted in the spotter stand or outside of the team pit area.  Upon further discussion with the LOORRS officials and management the spotter / team member is being restricted until further notice to the team pit area ONLY.  The spotter / team member will not be permitted anywhere on the grounds except in the team confined pit area for the entire time on site for any LOORRS events until further notice.  In addition the spotter / team member will be fined in the amount of $2,500.00 due to be paid before he will be permitted on site at any further events.  The spotter / team member is being placed on probation until further notice and will refrain from communication with any LOORRS officials, technical inspectors, members of any other teams, and any other persons at any event outside of his direct team members.

    1. #502 received a black flag for jumping the start.  The driver never served the black flag and due to this action scoring and lap counting for the #502 was stopped and the #502 was penalized accordingly back to the lap of the black flag.

Pro-4

    1. No Penalties

Pro-Buggy

    1. #3 received a black flag for rough driving.  Penalty was never served and finishing order was corrected after the finish of the race.

Pro-Lite

    1. #35 received a black flag for rough driving.  Penalty was served.

Pro-2

  1. No Penalties

NOTES:
Reminder, all Pro class drivers given or shown a black flag will serve a stop and go penalty for rough driving.  Any driver who earns 2 black flags in any race will not be permitted to continue. If a Pro driver, already on Probation is given or shown the black flag that driver will serve a (1) one-lap penalty at minimum. All spotter conduct must be sportsmanlike.  Once a truck is presented in Tech and or staging to engage in competition, if the spotter is deemed to be displaying unsportsmanlike conduct, the driver will be removed from competition immediately. Professionalism is the only accepted behavior that will be tolerated in the spotters stand, on track or in the pit area.
