The movie "DIRT" is a story centered in the world of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. Christina Moore, who starred in and co-produced the movie, will be at Lucas Oil Speedway on Saturday.

Wheatland, Missouri (June 18, 2018) - Christina Moore, one of the stars of the movie "DIRT," will be in attendance next Saturday at the 2nd annual GEICO Off Road Shootout Presented by General Tire at Lucas Oil Speedway along with the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series that night.

Moore co-starred and was a producer of the movie released last spring that is set in the world of Off Road Racing. It's now available for purchase on DVD or digitally via various outlets.

The GEICO Off Road Shootout Presented by General Tire is part of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series. After a Friday practice day, the event has full programs both Saturday and Sunday on Lucas Oil Speedway's Off Road course.

Moore, who also appears on the television programs "Marlon" on NBC and "Claws" on TNT, said she became a huge off road racing fan during the process of shooting the movie.

"I was not aware of the (Lucas Oil Off Road) Series before we started to get involved with it and researching it, but once I got deep into it, I became a huge fan," Moore said. She called the project "a scream" to work on.

"It was great, great, great fun to make that film," she said. "We had full access to all the (video) footage in different seasons and were given introductions to all the pro drivers, many of whom have appearances in the film. They were so helpful, especially Carl Renezeder and Rob MacCachren, the big dogs of the sport. Without their assistance and generosity, we couldn't have made it."

Christina Moore from the Off Road-inspired movie "DIRT" will appear at Lucas Oil Speedway next Saturday during the GEICO Off Road Shootout and the Big Adventure RV Weekly Racing Series.

Moore plays the role of Glenda Radden, wife of the team owner Rick Radden. The film takes viewers into the world of Off Road Truck Racing with an intriguing storyline with Entourage alum Kevin Dillon as Rick Radden, a former Off Road Truck driver and team owner along with DeRon Horton as Dez Truss.

For both Rick Radden and Truss, second chances do not come easy. However, another shot is just around the bend as worlds collide for the unsuspecting duo of Rick Radden and Truss.

Moore said it was the "underdog story" that appealed to her in both appearing in the movie and producing.

"It has a ton of heart," Moore said of the movie's storyline. "It's set in a racing form that people largely are not exposed to and that made it super fun. I think Off Road Truck short-course racing is ridiculously cinematic."

Caught boosting cars for an auto-theft ring, 17-year old Truss is given one last chance to turn his life around. When he is introduced to former Off Road Truck-driver-turned team owner Radden, neither suspects that this is the change both so desperately need. In exchange for a roof over his head, Dez is offered the chance to use the skills he developed in the streets as part of the pit crew for Rick's team.

Faced with an underperforming and apathetic driver, Rick finds himself in search of a lifeline for his struggling off road racing team. In an unexpected turn of events, he looks to Dez to take the lead and become the new face of Team Radden. But, does Dez have what it takes to end the team's losing streak? Will his life of crime catch up with him as he looks to turn over a new leaf?

The cast also includes Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (The CHI, Treme, Heroes, Bosch), Devan Long (S.W.A.T., Training Day), Matthew Glave (Feud, Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce) and Dominic Devore (Small Arms, The Release).

DIRT is a FORREST FILMS / ESX ENTERTAINMENT co-production. Forrest Lucas, executive producer, and Ali Afshar and Christina Moore, producers, present this Sports Drama directed by Alex Ranarivelo. DIRT was written by John Ducey with Alex Ranarivelo.

Moore said Lucas was a treat to get to know and work with on the movie. She said she's working on four more FORREST FILMS productions.

"Forrest is the greatest," Moore said. "He is kind and fair and clearly is wildly generous. And he has a really good sense of humor."
