Compton, California (July 19, 2017) – The West Coast style of short course off road racing makes its Midwest debut when Greg Adler and the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series storm into Wheatland, Missouri this weekend for Rounds 7&8 of series competition. While it has been nearly a decade since the sport last visited Wheatland's Lucas Oil Speedway, July 22-23 will mark the long awaited return of short course off-road racing to the facility which has also played host to professional drag boat and dirt track racing. The purpose build 1.3 mile off-road course, located just an hour from Springfield and a little over two hours from Kansas City, has been over three years in the making and promises to deliver the high octane, high energy off-road combat that has become the signature of Lucas Oil short course off-road racing.

While events are held on familiar battlefields in the Western States, Greg Adler's return to the Midwest at the midpoint of the season will come on a new playing field that the marquee group of drivers in the elite Pro4 division will be experiencing for the first time. For this much anticipated event on the 2017 schedule, Lucas Oil has touted the multitude of features designed into the purpose-built track that Series Director Ritchie Lewis described as "Supercross on steroids."

"Lucas has taken their time in preparing the facility to host what we anticipate to be the new signature event on our schedule," said Adler. "For months we've seen photos and have been hearing about the high banks and technical rhythm sections combined with the huge jumps and flying straightaways that brings together the greatest features from all of the tracks we compete on. Now it's time to go racing at Wheatland. We are appreciative for Lucas continued effort to invest the resources into expanding the series and creating this race at their premier facility in Wheatland."

The Saturday and Sunday afternoon doubleheader will showcase Adler vying for a return to the podium among the field of 900-HP Pro4 trucks looking to make their mark on the standings as the season now reaches the halfway point.

"We didn't have the results that we wanted out of Utah but we raced hard and were in the hunt the whole weekend," he said. "We're headed to Wheatland with a clean slate and everyone is going to be looking for an advantage to put themselves on top. It's a first race at a new venue and the gloves will be coming off. The fans are going to be in for an amazing experience."

In addition to this weekend's event in Wheatland, MO. the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series visits San Bernardino, CA. and Reno, NV. before returning to Chandler, AZ. for the season finale and the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup.

For fans that won't be at Lucas Oil Speedway this weekend to catch the action live, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series is broadcasted on CBS, CBS Sports Network, MavTV and LucasOilRacing.TV.
