Tough Track In Reno No Match For Alumi Craft Racers

Reno, NV (September 5, 2017) - Each track in the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series has its unique character. For rounds 9 and 10, competitors would take on the tough track at Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, Nevada. What makes the track in Sparks so unique are the huge elevation changes. The track travels up and down the steep hills the frame the property. As the drivers come around turn 4, they get a panoramic view of the entire track before plunging down the main straightaway in front of the grandstands filled with cheering fans.

The track demands horsepower on the way up, and good brakes for the trip back down. The suspension, steering, and braking, all have to work well whether the car is light in the front from acceleration, or compressed under heavy braking. The track in Sparks introduces many different dynamics to the vehicles. It takes a well-balanced car to be successful.

In a show of force that has almost become commonplace, Alumi Craft racers swept the podium in both rounds of racing. In round 9, the finishing order was Sterling Cling with the win, Darren "HotSauce" Hardesty Jr. second, and Eliott Watson in third.

Despite the best efforts of Hardesty, Watson, and the rest of the field, the order in round 10 was Sterling Cling with the win, Darren "HotSauce" Hardesty Jr. in second, and Eliott Watson in third. These same three Alumi Craft racers also swept the podium in rounds 6 and 7.

Alumi Craft Pro Buggy racers have won an impressive 8 out of 10 races so far this season. Hardesty, the defending Pro Buggy champion, is currently leading the points standings with Watson in second, and Cling in third.
