First, thank you all for your continued support of the Lucas Oil Off-Road Racing series. We all appreciate you and your teams. Here is the post-race penalty report from Round 1 at Chandler AZ. If you have any questions or concerns please contact Greg Foutz, Bill Smith or Ritchie Lewis.

Lucas Oil –2018 Chandler AZ Round 1 Final Event Post-Race Report

Saturday

J2 Karts

  1. #471 received a warning for aggressive driving.
  2. #423 jumped the restart, told to give the position back.
  3. Numbers not recorded, incidental contact in turn 4 lap 2.
  4. #428 warned to maintain speed coming to the restart on lap 3.
  5. #424 jumped the restart, told to give 2 positions back.

J1 Karts

  1. No on track incidents reported.

Mod Karts

  1. #547 jumped the start, gave position back.
  2. #535 & #518 got hooked together in turn 3 on lap 3. Incidental
  3. Numbers not recorded, incidental contact in turn 3 lap 4.
  4. #547 was out of line on restart, received a warning.
  5. #578 given a warning for not maintaining pace on the restart on lap 6.
  6. #578 received a black flag for not maintaining their pace coming to the restart.
  7. #514 received a black flag for heavy contact on lap 7.
  8. #578 received a black flag for jumping the restart on lap 9.

Turbo UTV

  1. Numbers not recorded, incidental contact between turns 1 & 2 on lap 1.
  2. #751 & #711 had light contact in turn 1 lap 9. #711 moved over when there was not room to do so.
  3. Numbers not recorded, incidental contact after turn 2 on lap 10.

Pro-2

  1. #7 & #24 had light contact after turn 4 on lap 1.
  2. #36 & #77 had light contact in turn 2 lap 3.
  3. #6 & #36 had incidental contact between turns 2 & 3 on lap 6.
  4. #38 & #24 had incidental contact in turn 3 lap 6.
  5. #36 & #38 had incidental contact in turn 1 on lap 9.
  6. #38 received a warning to be off the gas when off the racing surface.

Prod. UTV

  1. #915 jumped the restart, told to give the position back on lap 3.
  2. #980 received a warning to hold their line on lap 4.
  3. #931 received a warning for their window net being down, must be up to continue racing.
  4. #952 & # 983 had incidental contact between turns 3 & 4 on lap 10.
  5. #928 received a warning for being too aggressive on lap 11.

Pro Buggy

  1. #77 & #59 had light contact in turn 1 on lap 1.
  2. #17 received a warning for being off the track and not off the gas on lap 1.
  3. #9 received a warning for being off the track in the rhythm section on lap 1.
  4. #3 received a warning for being at the limit on light contact on lap 2.
  5. #51 received a warning for being at the limit on light contact on lap 6.
  6. #17 & #74 had light contact in turn 2 lap 8. #3, #74 & #99 were collected.
  7. #3 received a warning for not being in line at the restart on lap 9.
  8. #74 & #17 had incidental contact on lap 13.
  9. #51 received a warning to hold their line on lap 14.

Pro Lite

  1. #6 & #44 had light contact in turn 2 on lap 1.
  2. #97 received a warning for being at the limit of light contact on lap 4.
  3. #12 & #44 had light contact in turn 3 on lap 6.
  4. #12 rolled and collected #5 on lap 6.
  5. #21 received a warning for being out of line on the restart on lap 8.
  6. #51 & #6 had incidental contact in turn 3 on lap 6.
  7. #44 & #94 had incidental contact in turn 4 on lap 10
  8. #74 jumped the restart, told to give 1 position back.
  9. #35 reviewed for jumping the restart, reviewed and did not start early.

Pro-4

  1. The class was given a warning to stay on the track through the rhythm section.
  2. #10 & #27 had incidental contact on in turn 2 on lap 3.
  3. #7 received a warning for not staying on track in the rhythm section on lap 3.
  4. #27 received a warning for not staying on track in the rhythm section on lap 3.
  5. #37 received a warning for not holding their line on lap 6.
  6. #32 received a warning for not staying on track in the rhythm section on lap 3.
  7. #10 received a warning for not holding their line on lap 8.
  8. #32 & #24 had incidental contact in turn 4 on lap 9.
  9. #7 & #10 had incidental contact on lap 10.
  10. #59 rolled on their own on lap 10.
  11. #37 & #24 had incidental contact in turn 1 on lap 11.
  12. #32 received a warning for not staying on track in the rhythm section on lap 11.

NOTES:
Reminder, all Pro class drivers given or shown a black flag will serve a stop and go penalty for rough driving. Any driver who earns 2 black flags in any race will not be permitted to continue. If a Pro driver, already on Probation is given or shown the black flag that driver will serve a (1) one-lap penalty at minimum. All spotter conduct must be sportsmanlike. Once a truck is presented in Tech and or staging to engage in competition, if the spotter is deemed to be displaying unsportsmanlike conduct, the driver will be removed from competition immediately. Professionalism is the only accepted behavior that will be tolerated in the spotters stand, on track or in the pit area.
