Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series makes way to Utah Motorsports Campus, spreading smiles along the way for very special start to race weekend

Corona, CA (August 10, 2018) – The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series prepares for another exciting, jaw-dropping race weekend as it heads to renowned Utah Motorsports Campus on Friday, August 24th & Saturday, August 25th for the General Tire Utah Off Road Nationals, presented by OPTIMA Batteries. The race week will kick off in a special way, with a visit to Salt Lake City, the site of the main house for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area on Wednesday, August 22nd at 5:00pm MDT.

Drivers confirmed for the visit include multi-time winner and Pro4 driver Bradley Morris, ProLite competitor and 2017 Rookie of the Year Christopher Polvoorde, ProLite driver Mason Cullen, along with Pro Buggy competitor Trevor Briska. 4 Wheel Parts Founder Greg Adler, who races in the Series Pro 4 division, as well as appearing in the hit CBS show Undercover Boss, will join other Series drivers to visit patients and families at Mercy Kids. Greg Cozzo from Lucas Oil Racing TV will also be on hand, bringing those big red cowboy hats for the kids (and the kids at heart).

A wide variety of gifts have been provided for those at the hospital, thanks to the generous support of series partners like K & N Filters, Lucas Oil, Magnaflow and more.

"With all the different racing events they showcase at Utah Motorsports Campus, they are never short on fans, or people in racing who count their blessings. Our Series cherishes an opportunity to share those blessing with our race fans and the surrounding communities, and the chance to put a smile on a child's face." Says Greg Cozzo, Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.

About Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area

Since 1988 Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area has been keeping families close in a place that feels like home – providing stability and resources when they need it most. The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Intermountain Area (RMHC) is to surround families with the support they need to be near and care for their seriously ill or injured children. We provide a home-away-from-home to ease daily burdens and empower families of hospitalized children with meaningful experiences and quality time together. RMHC is committed to providing exceptional programs for families with seriously ill or injured children with fiscal responsibility, accountability – and thoughtfulness.

Through our two core programs, the Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Room, we provide families the ability to face the weight of illness together in close proximity to the treatment facility. By creating a comforting and supportive space for families, we are able to help ease many of their day-to-day burdens so that parents can focus on what is most important — the well-being of their sick or injured child. Most importantly, our House and Family Room programs are filled with love, support and compassion.
