Reno, Nev. (July 13, 2018) – Just outside of the bright lights and action of Reno is an even wilder kind of action - The Wild West Motorsports Park in Sparks, Nev. And the action is going to be at its craziest as The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series blasts into town for just one night on Saturday, July 21 for the K&N Filters Silver State Showdown presented by Toyota! This is fun for the entire family, from the high-flying short track racing to the side attractions, concessions, memorabilia, contests and prizes. Don't miss a second of this entire night of roaring, fender-bashing, high-octane insanity on wheels! Race week will kickoff in a special way, with a visit to Renown Children's Hospital on Thursday, July 19 at 2 p.m.
Drivers confirmed for the visit include multi-time winner and Pro-4 driver Bradley Morris, Pro-Lite Event Winner & Points Leader Ryan Beat, Pro-Lite competitor and 2017 Rookie of the Year Christopher Polvoorde, Pro-Lite driver Mason Cullen, along with Pro Buggy competitor Trevor Briska. Greg Cozzo from Lucas Oil Racing TV will also be on hand, bringing those big red cowboy hats for the kids (and the kids at heart).
A wide variety of gifts have been provided for young patients at the hospital, thanks to the generous support of series partners like K&N Filters, Lucas Oil, Magnaflow and more.
"We are honored that the families who make up our Series never hesitate to participate in activities like this. It sets a wonderful example of commitment to community, as well as their fellow man that extends far beyond racing," said Bill Smith, Series Director, Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series.
