Corona, California (August 25, 2016) - There's always at least one person who never gets a memo. Isn't that true, Rob MacCachren?
Sparks, Nevada (August 18, 2016) - Yesterday’s Round 11 of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, presented by GEICO, was an exciting one to say the least. Wild West Motorsports Park, situated just outside the Reno suburb of Sparks, NV, played host to five great races, and today, that excitement was brought to another level, with the drivers bringing their A games here this afternoon in Round 12. Fans were treated to a host of thrilling battles, with wins coming in both the form of dominating drives that left the rest of the field scratching its collective head, as well as surprising drives in which a contender suddenly came up through the pack late in the going to grab the top spot. However the wins came, the battles up and down the order in each class made for some great racing, and in many cases, helped set the stage for further drama in terms of the class championships as the season races towards its end.
Reno, Nevada (August 13, 2016) - After a hot and eventful weekend of racing at Glen Helen Raceway just three weeks ago, the drivers and crews of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, presented by GEICO, have now made the trek north to Sparks, NV, just outside Reno, to the high speed confines of Wild West Motorsports Park, for Rounds 11 and 12 of the 2016 championship. Carved from a mountainside, this track sees our series’ most extreme rises and falls, including the now infamous climb out of turn three and up to turn four, which finds drivers demanding the utmost from their engines, as they grind wide open up the hill for over ten seconds, placing an extreme load on these drivetrains. This afternoon, the championship battles in several of our classes really heated up, and in more ways than one, as the drivers now sense the finish line of the season fast approaching. With chances to make gains rapidly dwindling, drivers are now taking bigger risks to try and keep themselves in contention, or to put themselves back into contention, and all that lead to great racing action for our fans here today.
