Drivers Put On A Show In Round 2

After a terrific opening day of racing for the 2012 season of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, presented by GEICO, the drivers and teams were back to do it all again here in Round 2 at Firebird International Raceway in the Phoenix suburb of Chandler, AZ. With no racing to worry about tomorrow, drivers were throwing caution to the wind, and were driving spectacularly all afternoon. Fans packed the stands to capacity once again, and were kept on their feet in unison throughout the day, as race after race of excitement, surprises, and emotion were laid down one after another. More than once, the crowd was heard cheering as one as a driver pulled off an unbelievable move, and this was an afternoon that many people will look back on as one of the best in recent series memory. The Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, presented by GEICO, is back in action here in 2012. Picking up right where we left off in 2011, the drivers and teams are back here at Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, AZ, just at the south end of the Phoenix metropolis. As always, throngs of excited fans were here to greet their favorite drivers, and just as predictably, the welcoming rays of the Arizona sun shone brightly over a perfect day at the races. The racers weren't showing any signs of winter cobwebs here today, and put on a great show for the fans, who packed the stands thoroughly.

Lucas Oil Off Road Is Back

After many months of negotiations between drivers and teams, new partnership formations, new vehicle construction, and miles and miles of winter testing, it's finally time for the drivers and teams of the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series, presented by GEICO, to come together once again in the grand trial of competition. No more rumors, whispering, or wondering; now everyone must put their cards on the table and show what they've got. Who will have what it takes to win, and who will be left wondering what they got wrong? Who will grab the early season momentum, and who will be scrambling to catch up?

The 2012 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series television coverage will include 62 hours of original programming along with 168 hours of guaranteed re-airings for a total of 230 hours of exposure spread across five major networks; CBS, CBS Sports, NBC Sports, SPEED and MAVTV.
